Color for the Public

Public Barber Salon offers creative, hand painted color and dimensional highlighting, completely customized by our color artists. You will enjoy a collaborative consultation with your color artist to ensure your color goals are achieved while maintaining the integrity of your hair and the individuality of your personality.

All prices listed on our menu are starting prices only, during your consultation your color artist will discuss with you what your final pricing will be. They will also give you options for your service, we base our color pricing on length, density, and condition of each client's hair. If you have extremely long, thick, or compromised hair, or are seeking a total color transformation please inform our staff, or leave a note on your online appointment request while booking so we may adjust timing as necessary. Please, visit our cancellation policy if life plans have changed and you need to re- book.

$120 Just The Roots
One shade root regrowth coverage, matching existing color. Includes glaze to refresh previously colored hair. If there is more than 2 inches of regrowth please book an All Over Color service.

$145 All Over Color
Full application of one shade covering the entire head. This service is for matching your natural color, grey coverage, shifting tone, or going darker. Please book a lightening service if desired results are lighter than your current hair color.

$175 Mini Lights
This is a lightening service that focuses on framing your face, breaking up depth, and giving you lightness along the top of the head where dimension is most visible. It does not address the side, back or nape of the head. Your stylist may use a combination of lightening techniques to achieve desired result. If your desired result requires lightening on the sides, back, or nape of the head please book for a Partial or Full Highlight/Balayage

$225 Partial Highlight/Balayage
Highlights/Balayage are timeless techniques to create maximum dimension, lightening and grey blending. This service can be fully customized to use multiple lightening and low lighting techniques and offers many versatile and creative ways to give you beautiful, bespoke, blonding services. Partial Highlights/Balayage focuses on the front hairline, above the ears and the crown of the hair, leaving the nape of the hair natural to give dimension. If you would like maximum lightening through the entire head please book our Full Highlights service.

$265 Partial Highlight/Balayage + Base and/or Shadow Root
This is a full coverage service to give 100% root coverage with highlights/balayage. It includes a full head application of desired shade to give root coverage as well as our bespoke partial highlight/balayage service to give brightness and dimension around the front hairline, above the ears and on the crown of the head. It is also a great option for clients who would like to extend the life of their highlight/balayage service by having their colorist apply a root tone to erase the line of demarcation as your hair grows. If you would like to achieve 100% coverage as well as blonding through the entire head and lengths of the hair please book our Full highlight + Base/Shadow root

$325 Full Highlight/Balayage
This is our most transformational and customizable highlighting/balayage service for clients who want to transform their entire look. During this service our colorists will use multiple techniques to achieve as much brightness, contrast, depth and dimension as the client desires. Our full highlight service will focus on the entire head and lengths of hair.

$365 for Full Highlight/Balayage + Base and/or shadow root
This service includes all the the coverage and desired results offered in our Full highlight/Balayage service, with the option of a base color for 100% gray coverage or the ability to extend the life of your service by the application of a natural tone at the root to erase any line of demarcation at your hair grows.

$220 Bleach and Tone Just The Roots

Our root touch up Bleach and Tone is for clients that are currently at their desired level and tone and just need their regrowth refreshed. This is a root application of lightener and a toner for the entire head to balance unwanted tones. Roots may be no more than 1” long to book this service. If you have more than 1” of regrowth or would like a full head application of lightener please book our Bleach and tone service.

$350 Full Bleach and Tone
Our Bleach and Tone is a full head application of lightener to create uniform blonding with little to no dimension. After the hair is lightened our colorists will utilize a toner to give results ranging from natural blonde hues, pastels and even rainbow or jewel tones. Due to the nature of this service it may take several sessions to achieve very light/ash/silver/platinum blondes. We strongly recommend you contact our color team by emailingPublicbarbersalon@gmail.com if this is your first time booking a bleach and tone so that we may answer any questions or book a consultation if necessary. If you would like any form of rainbow or jewel tones please also book a Fashion and Fantasy Tint service with your Bleach and Tone.

$60 Fashion/Fantasy Color
This service may be added to any Highlight/Balayage or Bleach and Tone to achieve any range of creative, fashion or fantasy shades such as blue, green, pink, or unicorn. This cannot be booked as a stand alone service unless you have previously lightened hair.

$100 Toner/Gloss
Full Head application of a Demi-permanent toner or gloss to adjust the tonality and warmth of faded highlights/balayage/bleach and tones. It gives an instant refresh of previously lightened hair, restores shine, and offers protection against heat styling and uv or environmental damage. This service only addresses the tone of previously lightened hair, if you would like to adjust the depth or lightness of your color please book the appropriate service.

$40 Reconstructive Treatment
Our restructuring treatment will leave your hair and scalp feeling renewed and refreshed! Our Restructuring treatment uses argan stem cells to rebond, protect, add shine, uv filters, softness, and manageability to compromised hair.
